Everybody who first explores anime starts with a list of collections that anime lovers call “the basics,” which normally includes Naruto, Dragon Ball, and Bleach. There is every other franchise that lovers worldwide have praised and might be brought to this listing. The call of this collection is “One Piece,” written by means of Eiichiro Oda. One Piece launched in 1977 and has spanned over two decades.
Plot Details

The series takes us to the epic journey (which is far from ending) of Monkey D. Luffy alongside a crew of the Straw Hat Pirates. This manga series has 80 volumes. The plot is very basic. Monkey heads on a journey to find the legendary treasure One Piece to become a Pirate King. He is also looking for a crew to sail with him. He eventually gets to form one quirky crew that is always discovering new adventures and somehow get themselves into trouble. Each crew member has an interesting background that adds to the storyline. The way Oda threads together the characters and plots are simply amazing. Once you become invested in the series, it’s easy to get lost.
Currently, Wano Kuni, the 8th season of Once Piece is out. It is the 31st story arc in the series. Ninja pirate Mink Samurai’s alliance sets their plan into motion for recruiting allies within the Wano Kuni for liberating it from the Kurozumi Oorchi’s control who forms allies with Emperor Kaido and Beats Pirates (Kaido’s crew).
Wano is home to some interesting-looking creatures with special abilities. These include Komainu, Tanishi, Kappa, Onimaru, and many others. Most Of These Creatures are native. Even though the role of creatures is minor, they greatly impact the story, even the final battle!
The Big Mom pirates reach Wano to get revenge from the Straw Hats for the events that happened in Totto Land. They decide to join hands with Kaido for conquering the world. The story deals with the alliance between samurai, minks, and pirates from liberating Wano Country from the shogun.
Prepare to Witness an Epic Battle

The end of Wano Kuni is marked by a spectacular war between the Straws, the emperors of the sea, 6 members of the worst generation, the Samuari, Minks, and Marco. Will Wano come under Luffy’s protection? You better find that out yourself by watching the series.
Spoiler Alert: The Straw Hats and the samurai join forces and the relationship between the two become stronger than ever. As the story unfolds, fans will get to know that Kaido is not the only one interested in Wano’s craftsmanship. Hence, the Straw Hats and the samurai must keep their alliance to protect the country.
Wano Kuni’s Most Shocking Revelations

Wano is filled with incredible moments. In case you have missed it, these are some of the mind-boggling revelations in the series:
Sword
As we reach towards the end of Act II, it is revealed that X Drake was the caption of SWORD, a secret navy unit. He had infiltrated Kadio’s crew for keeping tabs on him and was reporting everything to his higher-ups.
Koby was a SWORD member as well.
Laugh Tale
While Roger’s treasure was introduced at the beginning of the story, Luffy’s journey continued. Later on, we get to learn that Once Piece was located on Raftel Island.
Oden through his flashbacks reveals to the audience that the treasure belonged to Joy Boy who left it at the Final Island 800 years ago. Roger found this funny which is why he decided to call the island the Laugh Tale!
Luffy Meets his Father
One of the mysterious characters of the manga is Moneky D. Dragon, Luffy’s dad. Up until now, no information is available about him or the relationship with his son.
Dragon’s strength is on the same level as that of Yonko. Will Dragon meet his son, the next emperor of the sea? He is already on the move so you never know!
The End of the Shichibukai System
Throughout the series, the Shichibukai system has been quite dominant. In Act II, it is revealed that this system has dissolved. The Warlords are chased by the Navy and the SSG formed by Vegapunk replaces Shichibukai.

Kaido’s Son
During Act III, it is revealed that Yanko Kaido has a son and it’s Yamato, who was a friend of Portags D. Ace. He ends up joining Luffy’s cause.
Yamato decides to become a rebel and kills his father because of the childhood abuse by Kaido. Yamato also wanted to join the Straw Hats Pirate and sail the seas like Oden.
Smile Fruits
Before making it to the Wano arc, these fruits were hinted at the Punk Hazard arc. Ceasar Clown used to produce the chemical for the smile fruits. In Dressrosa, they were called the artificial fruits which could grant the power of animals to the one who eats them.
The truth about the smile fruit was revealed in the Wano Country. Only 10 percent of the eaters gain the power of the fruit. 90 percent lose the ability to express an emotion. It can be any emotion except laughing. The eater loses the ability to swim as well.
Orochi’s Death
As Kaido’s plan for conquering Wano is exposed, Orochi becomes disappointed in Kaido as he was actually plotting to step into his territory. Also, he was breaching the agreement between the two. Kaido responds by chopping Orochi’s head. Hence, Kaido becomes the final antagonist of Wano Kuni for now because who knows Orochi survives.
Final Thoughts

Since it was hyped that Wano country will be the biggest arc to date, fans had great expectations from the story and the creators of the show did not disappoint.
You may find a few characters annoying (I know I did) but their role adds to the story. The battles are going to knock you off your feet. In the previous arcs, especially Marineford, Luffy’s character took the backseat. But at Wano, Straw Hats is central to everything and Luffy has received a bigger role this time. By the end of the series, you will agree that Luffy is getting close to becoming one of the strongest pirates out there.
